This colorful box depicts Christmas in Quinua, a small town in the province of Huamanga. Alejandro Chávez crafts a traditional retablo (diorama) in the regional style of Ayacucho. The Holy Family and other figurines are modeled of clay and painted by hand. Beneath them, folk singers and dancers celebrate the nativity.
